Site and Personal Updates

First, a big thank you to Amazon reviewer Rotty3M for noting in her review that my newsletter sign-up doesn’t work. It’s fixed! And thank you for reading my books. I hope you enjoy them!

As you may have noticed, I have been abysmal at keeping this site updated. I will attempt to pay more attention to it, but I’ve been so focused on staying on schedule with the book releases that everything else tends to slip through the cracks. (And by everything I mean sending out my newsletter, updating my Facebook page, updating this page, eating… just kidding about that, but somedays it’s close!)

On the plus side, this means that instead of the six books I released in 2023, I have managed to stay on target with one book per month in 2024. Yay me! I wish I could write faster, but I am doing my best to ensure those pesky typos, mis-named characters, (big face palm on the whole Emma/Jemma thing in the Clowder Cats books) and other various mistakes get fixed before publication. A big thank you to my eagle-eyed readers who’ve pitched in to help.

If you do spot a type or a mistake (they happen, I’m very human) please don’t by shy – drop me an email! I truly appreciate the help and I love hearing from you.

Razzy and Rudy are as clever as ever. They take turns in providing moral support while I write, and inspiration several times a day when I’m not.

The end of 2023 and early 2024 were a difficult time for me, but all of you helped me pull through and focus on my books and the characters. As I’m sure many of you know, losing a parent is incredibly hard, especially when you’re an only child of a single mother. It always touches my heart when one of you reaches out to say my books have helped you. Well, I want to let all of you know how much you have helped me.

On a happier note…

This year saw the introduction of two new series. The Millie the Miracle Cat series, and the Siren’s Song Paranormal Cozy series. I adore all of these new characters, and as I’ve said before, I’d love to live in Timber Falls and have some tea with the quilting ladies. The response for the paranormal series has been … tepid … but I plan on at least finishing book three of the series in 2025, and perhaps continuing it. Personally, I love the genre, but I understand if many of my readers don’t. I don’t take it personally. Okay, I try not to take it personally and typically succeed. Life is too short to read books you don’t like!

(But seriously, if you haven’t checked it out, maybe take a peek. Penelope Stormbringer loves attention.)

I’ll do a separate post on what’s coming for 2025, but there will be a new series! If you’ve read the latest Clowder Cats book, Pushing up Daisies, you’ll get a sneak peek at the new cast. I’m really looking forward to exploring the lives of Finn and Briar, and of course, their human Tessa, and her friends.

Don’t worry, all the other series will be continuing! Some day, I might even write the fourth installment of the Escape from Reality series, but demand for that one has been… um… less than tepid, so it will be a while. That series will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first foray into writing, and I learned so much. I proved to myself that, hey, I can actually do this. As much as it hurts to say, I have to focus on writing the books people want to read, but I don’t think the door has closed on that series just yet. There’s still a sliver a light shining through that door. I wonder what’s on the other side…

I’m starting to ramble, so I’ll close here. If you’d like to see more blog posts like this, let me know! I hope all of you are staying safe. Know that you’re loved and appreciated.

What’s Ahead for 2023?

Spring has sprung and there are all sorts of new releases planned for this year. Here’s what’s on tap:

The Razzy Cat Cozy Mystery Series

Razzy, Rudy, Gus, and of course, Hannah and Ben, have quite a few mysteries they’ll need to solve in 2023! The Reunion at the Farm just released and the next one, The Mishap at the Meeting, will be coming in Summer of 2023. Don’t worry, there’ll be at least two more on top of that (and hopefully more!)

The Soul Seeker Cozy Mystery Series

Bernie and Brynn can’t wait for their next big adventure in The Imp at the Ice Rink. This one is going to be one of their most unique cases yet. Look for it in May of 2023! Bernie’s paws will be full for the rest of the year with several more mysteries on the way.

Pssst – there’s also a spin-off series planned for 2023 that will feature one of Bernie’s friends, but we’re waiting on Bernie to reveal his big secret before we can talk about that one!

The Clowder Cats Cozy Mystery Series

An adorable spin-off of the Razzy Cat series featuring some of your most requested characters from the Crisis at the Wedding will be coming in Summer of 2023! Join the clowder cats, led by Fig, as they help a young woman solve mysteries and find herself in the process.

As always, thank you so much for your support. I couldn’t do this without you!

What’s Coming for 2022?

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season full of joy! Now that we’re into the New Year, I wanted to give you a quick update on the books planned for 2022.

The Razzy Cat Cozy Mystery Series

Razzy, Rudy, and Gus can’t wait for their next adventure! I have several books planned for release in this series for 2022. In February, The Love That Was Lost, will be launching on Valentine’s Day. Click here to pre-order your copy.

In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out the short story collection, Tails by the Fireplace, click here to get your copy!

The Soul Seeker Series

Never fear! Brynn and Bernie will be back (and we’ll finally start to hear more of Bernie’s thoughts about the ghosts the duo keep running into). The next book in the series will be published in March of 2022.

While you wait, check out the prequel novella, The ABC’s of Seeing Ghosts! You’ll get to meet Brynn and Logan as teenagers (Bernie’s there, too!) and find out what happened on the first case she worked on with the local sheriff. Get your copy here.

A Brand New Series – The Mended Hearts Ranch

In the spring of 2022, I’ll be launching a new series under a different pen-name. This one will be a sweet Romance series with, of course, a mystery element.

Would you like to be on the advanced review team for this new launch? Send me an email and you’ll be the first one to get your eyeballs on this new series!

Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank you for your support over the past year! It means the world to me 🙂

Can Brynn and Bernie solve this case?

When Brynn heard there was a strange creature sighted at a rental cabin, she had no idea she was about to be involved in one of her toughest cases yet!

A visitor at the cabin ends up dead, and it’s up to Brynn and Bernie to figure out if the mysterious creature was responsible, or if something worse is lurking in the shadows.

Someone Brynn loves dearly could end up dead if they don’t crack the case in time. Grab your copy!

Thank you for your wonderful support. I had a blast writing this one and I hope you enjoy it!

PS – the prequel novella for this series will out in December! You’ll meet Brynn, Bernie and Logan back when they were in high school and learn about the very first case they solved with the help of the local Sheriff. Pre-Order your copy now!

Are you ready for Razzy Cat’s latest adventure?

Fall is almost here and we’re back in Golden Hills with Razzy and Hannah as they tackle one of their craziest cases yet!

When Hannah Murphy was invited to an award banquet for local reporters, she never imagined that attending could mean losing her life.

Someone in Golden Hills is targeting reporters and it could be someone she knows. Her relationship with Ben will be put to the test as the suspect list grows longer!

The real life Razzy Cat is pretty excited about this one (Rudy is too!) and we all hope you enjoy it.
